GS/ServiceDesk Version 9 Ready to Ship

February 19, 2007 - Newton, MA - GroupSoft has released GS/ServiceDesk Version 9. GS/ServiceDesk is a full-featured customer service suite for the IBM Lotus Notes/Domino platform that includes incident management, maintenance contract renewal management, bug tracking and a knowledge base. It can be accessed from a Notes client or a web browser. A self-service interface allows customers to submit issues, track their status and search FAQ's and Tech Notes from the Web.

Version 9 gives the customer service rep greater control of the user interface, allowing them to select and display the information they find most useful depending on their role. Handling of customer emails has also been enhanced in this release. RSS feeds are provided to allow customer service reps and support managers to monitor the queue for customer submissions, an increasingly popular alternative to email alerts. A new dashboard report gives the support manager a concise snapshot of incident volumes at any time of the day.

GS/ServiceDesk runs on all Domino server platforms including Linux. Domino 6.x or later is required on the server. Supported clients are Notes 6.x or later, Internet Explorer 6+ and Firefox. GS/ServiceDesk is licensed with full source code and can be integrated with GS/SalesDesk or other sales force automation systems.
