GS/ServiceDesk Version 13 Advances Notes/Domino-Based Customer Service App

June 23, 2011 - Newton, MA - GS/ServiceDesk Version 13 is the latest refinement to the GroupSoft customer service app for the IBM Lotus Notes/Domino platform.

Version 13 includes dozens of enhancements for system administrators and customer service reps.

For admins:

Archiving performance has been enhanced and the archive agent can now automatically reset the cutoff date. Documents can be restored from the archive to the production database with a single click. Data can now be exported to Symphony as well as Excel and CSV files. Admins can now control the links on the self-help menu from the Profile document; previously this required Domino Designer access.

For reps:

Customer service reps can now view all of a customer's products and their support status from the customer document. Reps can return to the most recently viewed ticket using a new bookmark button. More context-sensitive help has been added.

GS/ServiceDesk Version 13 is available now. A full evaluation version is available by registering on the GroupSoft web site. The application runs on all Domino 6.5 or later server platforms including Linux. It supports the Notes client, including Notes 8.5, and recent versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and other web browsers.

Software license fees are based on the number of customer service technicians, with unlimited customer self-help access. The license fee includes incident ticketing, change management, knowledge base, asset tracking and QA (bug/defect) tracking.

GS/ServiceDesk, like all GroupSoft applications, is licensed with full source code (unlocked design) and is a fully-supported product, including real telephone and email support directly from GroupSoft, not an outsourced provider.
