GroupSoft SalesDesk Version 3 Ships

December 23, 2005 - Newton, MA - GroupSoft is now shipping GS/SalesDesk Version 3, our sales force automation (SFA) application for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino. This release has a completely updated user interface and many new features, while retaining the speed and simplicity of the original product.

GS/SalesDesk is targeted at medium-size businesses and groups within large organizations that need a fast SFA implementation. By leveraging a company's existing Notes/Domino infrastructure, GS/SalesDesk provides a solution that requires minimal IT support yet scales to support a growing sales organization. Like all GroupSoft products, GS/SalesDesk is licensed with full source code and can be customized in-house, by GroupSoft or by the worldwide network of IBM Lotus business partners.

GS/SalesDesk is designed to interface with GS/ServiceDesk, GroupSoft's customer service incident tracking application. Salespeople can check the incidents for a customer with a single click, and can set up a new customer in GS/ServiceDesk just as easily. With its open design, GS/SalesDesk also interfaces with other customer service applications and back-office systems.

GS/SalesDesk is tightly integrated with Notes email and calendar functions. Email can be sent directly from the application and reminders can be added to the calendar. GS/SalesDesk tracks Action Items and Opportunities and now includes a sales funnel report. A repository for sales and marketing documents is provided. A template is also provided for customer setup workflow. GS/SalesDesk can also generate quotes and invoices.

GS/SalesDesk is a secure, low-cost alternative to hosted SFA solutions. With modest up-front license fees based on the number of users, GS/SalesDesk is often less expensive than monthly per-person pricing after just one or two years of use.

GS/SalesDesk runs on all Domino server platforms including Linux.
