GroupSoft Systems Announces GS/SalesDesk Addition to Product Line

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 16, 2000 -- GroupSoft Systems, Inc., a Lotus ISV Business Partner, today announced a major new addition to its line of Domino-based help desk and support applications. The new addition, GS/SalesDesk, is a sales force automation (SFA) module designed to integrate with the company's GS/ServiceDesk product. In addition, GS/ServiceDesk has been enhanced to provide seamless connection with GS/SalesDesk and add powerful new features.

GS/SalesDesk offers a full range of SFA features, including a sales and marketing library and opportunity management. It also provides standard contact management features such as form letters and labels, pop-up reminders integrated with the Notes calendar and public or private tickler lists. It enables users to export address lists to FedEx or Airborne software for overnight shipping, and allows new customers to be set up with the click of a button. GS/SalesDesk can also produce invoices and track receivables, and features a robust Action Item form with many of the powerful tracking and notification features found in the GS/ServiceDesk Help Request.

For the software industry and other businesses with annual support contracts, GS/ServiceDesk has been enhanced to provide powerful renewal letter generation. It lets users define and store queries to select expiring agreements; they can also store form letters in the Domino database, providing a seamless process that produces invoices tailored for each customer group. Extensive reporting options will be available, including views and predefined reports using Seagate Crystal Reports and Seagate Analysis.

For customers of GS/ServiceDesk, GroupSoft Systems will continue to support connections to other established contact managers and SFA systems, including those not running on the Domino platform. "GS/SalesDesk is our response to customers who want an open source, single vendor CRM solution on the Domino platform," said Carl Fink, president and CEO of GroupSoft Systems. "We took our fast and lean design philosophy into the SFA product space, where there is a lot of bloatware and feature creep. So far, the response has been positive. We can now offer a reasonably priced solution with a standard user interface across all modules."

GS/SalesDesk is in production at one customer site and will officially ship in the second quarter of 2000. Additional information and a ScreenCam demo will be available on the GroupSoft Systems Web site following Lotusphere 2000. Pricing has not been announced. The product will be available as a standalone package or bundled with GS/ServiceDesk. GS/SalesDesk can be used with a Notes client or Web browser. Support for Domino R4.6 and R5 is planned.
