GroupSoft ships GS/ServiceDesk Version 8

September 30, 2005 - Newton, MA - GroupSoft Systems has begun shipping GS/ServiceDesk Version 8 for Lotus Notes/Domino. The product provides customer service incident tracking and warranty renewal management for software companies and other industries supporting high-value, business-to-business products.

Version 8 offers many new features including the ability to conduct targeted email campaigns to prospects and customers. The Notes user interface has had a major facelift, and the web browser interface and functionality has also been upgraded in this release.

GS/ServiceDesk is licensed on a per-seat model directly from GroupSoft Systems. Full source code is included in the license fee. Support is via an assigned representative. Training, data conversion, customization and installation assistance are available from GroupSoft.

Customers with a valid support/maintenance agreement can upgrade to Version 8 directly from any previous release, and the upgrade process has been enhanced.

GroupSoft ServiceDesk runs on all Lotus Domino server platforms including Linux and iSeries. The application can be accessed by customer service agents using a Notes client or most popular web browsers. Customers can submit service requests via email or any popular web browser.
