| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Lotusphere booth # A-211 GroupSoft Systems Ships Major Upgrade to GroupSoft Help Desk Adds full web client and email updating for mobile technicians ORLANDO, Fla., January 18, 1999 - GroupSoft Systems today announced that it is shipping Release 5 of the GroupSoft Help Desk, a full-featured internal help desk application designed for Lotus Notes, Domino and the web. This major new release gives help desk technicians full access to their assignments from any web browser. Previous versions allowed users to submit help requests, search the FAQ and browse the knowledge base from the web but required the help desk staff to use the Notes client. In addition, help desk technicians can now acknowledge and close help requests from any remote mail client, including the Palm Pilot and other PDA's. This provides an extremely efficient solution for mobile technicians without locking the customer into any particular brand of PDA. Users can also submit help requests via email. The combination of full web support and enhanced email functionality allows for rapid, low-cost deployment of the GroupSoft Help Desk in organizations that are running Lotus Domino.
